The star cast of the movie includes Mohanlal, Shari, Thilakan, Vineeth, and Kaviyoor Ponnamma. The music for the film is composed by Johnson. The narrative is set across the backdrop of a Malayali Christian-Nasrani (“Nazarene”) family from Syria.
Since the family is Catholic, there are biblical references to Songs throughout the story, which shows a loving dialogue between a young woman and her lover. Namukku Parkkan Munthiri Thoppukal is a beautiful film that will find its mention in any top list of Malayali romantic movies.

Premam
A bildungsroman narrative written, directed, and edited by Alphonse Puthren, Premam (translated to Love), is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language film. With Nivin Pauly and Sai Pallavi starring in the lead roles, Madonna Sebastian, Anupama Parameswaran, Shabareesh Varma, Krishna Sankar, Ananth Nag, and Siju Wilson play the supporting cast of the movie. The narrative of Premam follows the love life of George from his childhood to his marriage. In high school, George is infatuated with Mary, a pre-university girl who goes on to friend zone him. As a kid, he is hurt and sobs for days.
A few years later, in college, George falls for Malar, a lecturer who meets with a tragic accident and loses her memory of George. Heartbroken, George enters adulthood and develops a connection with Celine, who frequents his café. Celine is the same little girl who used to walk with Mary from school every day, and their relationship ends well after a few obstacles.
Annayum Rasoolum
Directed by the debut director Rajeev Ravi and written by Santhosh Echikkanam, based on a tale by Ravi Annayum Rasoolum is another beautiful romantic Malayalam sequence. The plot of Annayum Rasoolum revolves around a star-crossed Malayalam romance between Rasool (Fahadh Faasil), a Muslim taxi driver, and Anna (Andrea Jeremiah), a Latin Christian salesgirl, both belonging to traditional working-class sets of families, set in Kerala’s Vypin islands.
The plot of the movie revolves around the day-to-day events, and later they have to face hesitancies and personal insecurities about religion and society. With more expressions and fewer dialogues, this movie carries the Malayalam love story passionately and realistically.
Kumbalangi Nights
Released in the year 2019, Kumbalangi Nights was directed by Madhu C. Narayanan. The movie centers around the life and love of four brothers, which often turns into hate as well. Leading the cast with a glorious performance, Fahadh’s ability to alter into this wicked character is worth mentioning alongside the supporting cast, who help and complement the narrative extraordinarily.

The juvenile romance sequence of June and Noel occupied the center stage in the movie as it lapped from her school life to her professional career. This was followed by another lover of June, who genuinely followed her wherever she went. This was also depicted in a romantic song that was pasteurized around Anand and June in the second half of this romantic movie.
Thattathin Marayathu
Written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, Thattathin Marayathu is a 2012 Indian Malayalam-language romantic film that stars Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar. Supporting Nivin and Isha, we also have Aju Varghese, Manoj K. Jayan, Sunny Wayne, Sreeram Ramachandran, Bhagath Manuel, Manikuttan, Sreenivasan, and Niveda Thomas. Based on the inter-religion romance between a Hindu boy (Nivin) and a Muslim girl (Isha), this film depicts the friction that is created as a consequence of this relationship.

Salt N’ Pepper
Salt N’ Pepper is a 2011 rom-com movie directed by Aashiq Abu. The cast of the film includes Lal, Asif Ali, Shweta Menon, Mythili Baburaj, and Vijayaraghavan. The film entails the love tales of two couples.
Kalidasan, an archaeologist; Maya, a dubbing artist; Meenakshi, an IELTS student; Manu, a cheerful management graduate; and Babu, Kalidasan’s chef, are the principal characters. Surprisingly, food also plays a significant part in the narrative sequence of the film.
Ennu Ninte Moideen
A Malayalam love drama movie released in 2015, Ennu Ninte Moideen is written and directed by R. S. Vimal, based on the true account of Kanchanamala and B. P. Moideen, who met in Mukkam, Kozhikode, in the 1960s. 100 Days of Love
100 days of love is Jenuse Mohamed’s debut film, released in the year 2015. This Indian Malayali film is a romantic comedy that is both directed and written by Jenuse Mohammed. Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen play protagonists in the motion picture. The film was globally released In March 2015. For the dialogues, the front was held by the effective collaboration of M R Vibin and Suhail Ibrahim.
Pranayam
A Malayali love drama film written and directed by Blessy in 2011, Pranayam stars Mohanlal, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher in the lead roles. The plot revolves around the love triangle between Mathews (Mohanlal), Grace (Jaya Prada), and Achutha Menon’s characters (Kher). M. Jayachandran gave the soundtrack of the film.
As per reports, the movie is based on the Aussie film ‘Innocence’ from 2000, with a few sequences from the Chinese film ‘Apart Together’ from 2010.
