A movie based on a very famous novel by a very famous writer, Chetan Bhagat, just like the movie Half Girlfriend and Kai Po Chhe . A story of two individuals who fall in love regardless of each other’s community, background, and people. The story tells the struggle people have to face just to get married to their loved ones when they belong to a different community and caste.
Soon after its release, the movie left a serious impact on its audience. The movie had an incredible message that says it’s just love and two people’s acceptance that matters, not the society, not their families, and definitely not their culture.
2 States – The Storyline The story is about Krish and Ananya (Alia Bhatt) recently seen in Brahmastra: Part One . Krish is a Punjabi Hindu boy, now pursuing MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Ananya is a topper in economics from her college and is now in the same college as Krish.
Ananya and Krish soon fall in love with each other but as their college ends they realize how different their background and culture are and how none of their families are going to accept each other. They decide to stay together no matter what and begin by persuading each other’s family. First Krish takes a job in Chennai and starts with his idea of convincing Ananya’s family, after a while, Ananya does the same with Krish’s family.
Meanwhile, they face a lot of difficulties as both of their families are reluctant to marry their child in another community.
