Finally, the new season of koffee with Karan is here. In Season 7 Episode 1 the featured guests were, the most energetic boy of B-Town, one and only Ranveer Singh and the most adorable girl of B- Town, Alia Bhatt. Karan asked them the juiciest questions about their life. Will Sakhis babble out the secrets or not?
They Have Nicknames For Each Other : The duo said that they both have cute nicknames for each other. Ranveer calls Alia Lulu and Alia calls Ranveer Tutu. And they both call themselves Sakhis. This even made Karan Johar ‘Awww’.
My friends don’t even know the correct spelling of my name and here they are giving each other cute names. Me: Crying in a corner
Alia Spoke Truth About Suhaagrat : Karan asked Alia to speak up about “a myth about marriage that got busted as soon as she tied the knot”. And Alia replied “There is no such thing as Suhaagrat, you’re tired.
I don’t know if it is true or not. But if it is then we should blame Bollywood movies for our high expectations.
How Ranveer And Alia Adapted Kapoor And Padukone Families: Ranveer Singh revealed in the 1st Episode how people judge him when he wears a different outfit, how everyone asks him to wear normal or sober clothes and not bombastic clothes.
He also spoke about how he has 2 wardrobes. One with all the funky clothes and one with sober clothes because whenever he visits Deepika’s family in Bangalore he wears sober ones as Ranveer is still figuring out Deepika’s family.
On the other hand, Alia spoke about her experience with the Kapoor family. She said
“Enter the Kapoor family and everyone does everything together. They even perform aarti together”! Alia Bhatt had a nuclear family before marriage and they never did such things together. But the Kapoor family is really different.
Who Has Good Mimicry Skills?: Ranveer Singh initiated many actors like Varun Dhawan, Kartik Aryan, Hrithik Roshan, Dharmendra etc. And the whole time Alia hyped him up. He showed his good mimicry skills on the couch.
My favourite one was when he did “Varun Dhawan coming out of a gym”. ROFL
They Are Definitely Sakhis: Alia and Ranveer explained how they both care about each other. Alia said that Ranveer is a good listener, caring and sensitive friend. He loves to know what is going on in his friend’s life. Alia and Karan brought Ranveer’s other side which is Pammi Aunty. Basically, Pammi Aunty is interested in gossip around her. She even helped Alia choose her wedding jewellery.
They depicted a scene where Karan acted as a Jeweller and Alia- Ranveer went to his shop to buy some jewelleries for Alia’s wedding.
Ranveer recalled a moment when Alia was having tough time during the shooting of Gangubai: Kathiawadi and how they both bonded over that experience
Ranveer Singh really is an amusing person.
When Ranbir Kapoor Proposed Alia : From not sharing any information to sharing everything about the proposal. Alia revealed that Ranbir proposed to her in Maasai Mara. She added that;
“In terms of Ranbir and his planning, he totally blew my mind away because I was not expecting it. We were not even talking about it. We were talking about it for a very long time but then there were so many pandemic delays, that we decided we won’t talk about it. We’ll just go with feeling. And that’s exactly what he did. He didn’t tell anyone. He just carried the ring and he did it in the most amazing place, Maasai Mara.”
After listening to the whole proposal Ranveer Singh got teary.
Ranbir Kapoor is my dream boyfriend from today onwards.
Moving Forward to Rapid Fire Round: During the Rapid Fire Round Ranveer circled on “Have a banging sex playlist”. Where Karan asked him if he really had one. Then Ranveer Singh even performed it a little bit. This was so hilarious. Alia revealed that she had an embarrassing email id named punkbabe_21.
Karan asked Ranveer Singh to compare Deepika and Alia Bhatt. He said that Alia has better linguistic skills than Deepika and on the other hand Deepika has better psychicality. Alia gave the same reply when Karan asked her the question. She just added that Ranbir is a better dancer.
Karan asked Alia “If she has a better chemistry with Varun Dhawan or Ranveer Singh”. She took the former name and Ranveer Singh was so offended. He ended up calling Alia ‘Kalank’ as a friend. Ranveer Singh even stood up from the couch and acted as he was leaving.
Overall, the whole episode was so funny and in the end Ranveer won the hamper by getting more votes.
