Storyline of Mardaani 2 The plot of Mardaani 2 revolves around a 21-year-old boy, named Sunny (role portrayed by Vishal Jethwa), who comes to the city on a murder contract given to him by the city’s strongest political player Govind Mishra a.k.a. Panditji. Sunny, who looks like any other innocent 21-year-old, has a fetish for sexually assaulting young girls and later murdering them.
While at it, he locks horns with Shivani Shivaji Roy (Rani Mukerji, last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 ), who is the newly appointed chief of the city police. After Sunny sees her on TV as she promises to find the culprit and get justice for Latika (who was killed and raped by Sunny brutally) Sunny gets fascinated by her persona. And that’s when we come to know that he has a thing for strong, independent women. Later during her investigation, Shivani somehow manages to get a witness who can identify Sunny, but he gets successful in eliminating the witness, from right under Shivani’s nose.
This whole situation of cat and mouse creates stir and unrest in the city and leads to the transfer of Shivani from her position. But before her transfer could come into action, Shivani decides to nab Sunny within 48 hours with her small team.
