Directed by Amar Kaushik (who also directed movies like Bhediya and Bala), the Stree movie is a banger of its own time. However, there might be still some who may have missed out on watching this movie that stars Rajkummar Rao (recently seen in Monica, O My Darling ) and Shraddha Kapoor (known for Aashiqui 2 ) in lead roles.
The movie revolves around a guy Vicky, who is a tailor by profession in Chanderi. One day, he encounters a beautiful woman who comes to the town during the annual 4 days pooja session. Vicky falls in love with her at first sight as she asks him to stitch a lehenga for her. However, her random appearance and the fact that she is only seen by Vicky make his friend Bittu suspicious. Storyline of Stree The plot of Stree revolves around an Indian folk legend about a witch in the Chanderi town. It goes as something like the soul of an upset woman, referred to as “Stree” who abducts and kills men on nights of the annual 4 days Pooja, only leaving their clothes to be found behind.
A guy, Vicky who is a tailor living in the same town goes on about life with his friends Bittu and Janna. One day, he encounters a beautiful woman and for Vicky, it happens to be a love-at-first-sight situation. She asks him to stitch a lehenga for her, and he willingly agrees.
However, her sudden and random appearances along with the fact that nobody except Vicky has seen her makes his friend Bittu grow suspicious about it. And this makes him wonder if the mysterious woman in Vicky’s life is Stree. On the other hand, Janna gets kidnapped by Janna and this worries Bittu (played by Aparshakti Khurana) more.
