The film’s plot was set in the late 18th Century. It revolves around the life of a Naga Sadhu/Bounty Hunter. After its release, the film was nominated for the Best Costume Design Award and Upcoming Lyricist of the Year in the Filmfare Awards and Mirchi Music Awards. It has an IMDb rating of 7.2/10.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Laal Kaptaan’ The film’s plot is set in the late 18th Century, where in Bundelkhand, a Naga Sadhu called Gossain (Saif Ali Khan) goes on a killing spree. He wishes to kill Rahmat Khan (Manav Vij) for the crimes that he had committed in the past. Rahmat had escaped with his men after looting his overlord Raja Hukum Singh. While his attempt to kill Rahmat falls through, Gossain gets injured. He gets saved by a widow (Zoya Hussain) near Rahmat Khan’s Palace.
After Gossain gets well, the widow accompanies him on his journey across Bundelkhand. Through their journey, Gossain and the widow run into the Marathas, who help him track Rahmat Khan with the help of a human tracker (Deepak Dobriyal). Gossain manages to find Rahmat and his convoy, but when he tries to kill Rehmat, he gets captured by the convoy. Gossain soon realizes that his hiding location was sacrificed and that he had been betrayed by the widow, who had turned out to be Rahmat’s wife.
