Kalindi and her three very close friends get together after a long time to attend Kalindi’s marriage but end up causing trouble and taking a trip to find their true-self.
Hindi Movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ was released in 2018 and directed by Shashank Ghosh. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actress Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania. The film revolves around finding your true self with the help of one’s friendship. After its release, the film emerged worldwide as the fifth-highest grossing Hindi movie of the year. The film also has net earnings of ₹107 Million on its first day in India, setting the record for the highest opening day collection for a Hindi Film with female protagonists.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Veere Di Wedding’ The film starts with Kalindi (Kareena Kapoor) enjoying her life in Australia with her boyfriend, Rishabh (Sumeet Vyas). Kalindi is scared of marriage and her phobia comes smacking right in her face when Rishabh decides to propose to her after two years of their relationship.
Though Kalindi fears marriage due to her parent’s relationship with each other, she gives in to Rishabh and says yes. When the news of her wedding reaches her best friends, the four decide to meet up after a long time.
All three of Kalindi’s best friends have issues that they are facing. Avni (Sonam K Ahuja) is a divorce lawyer and is nervous about meeting someone and getting married, as she has seen many failed marriages. Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar appeared in Raanjhanaa ) leaves her husband’s house and lives with her parents. Meera (Shikha Talsania) is married to a Foreign man, which leads to her family ghosting her. All four friends decide to stay with Kalindi at her Uncle’s house in Delhi till her wedding. Hoping the wedding goes smoothly without any trouble, the four friends start making preparations, but things get chaotic as soon as the functions begin.
