When a man returns a purse he had stumbled upon in Delhi to an anonymous lady in Shimla, they start writing to each other. While the two have never met, they feel attracted to each other, so they try to meet and make their relationship work.

Released in the first week of June 1999, ‘Sirf Tum’ is a remake of a Tamil Film called ‘Kadhal Kottai’ that was released in 1996.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Sirf Tum’ The movie starts with Deepak (Sanjay Kapoor), who stumbles upon a purse which had important Documents in it. Trying to return those documents and purses, he looks for an address and mails it back to Aarti (Priya Gil), the owner of the Documents.
Aarti lives in Shimla, while Deepak lives in Delhi. The two become pen pals and start writing to each other. Slowly and steadily, both main leads fall in love, even though they have never met each other. Aarti is comforted by her sister and brother-in-law.
They tell her to marry someone she wants and to pursue Deepak if he means a lot to her. Agreeing with them, Aarti leaves for Delhi to confess to Deepak without letting him know about it. But she fails to find him even after staying for over a week. What she didn’t know is that Deepak had faced quite a trouble at his work and had resigned from it.
