An English Teacher shifts to a small town in Meerut with her husband and is branded as a ‘Husband Snatcher’ overnight due to her confidence in her beauty and body.
The web series ‘Rasbhari’ was released in 2020 and was directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. The series was shot in Bijnor and is available in both languages, Hindi and English, on its OTT platform. The star cast of the show is Raanjhanaa star Swara Bhaskar, Immature’s lead actress Rashmi Agdekar and making his debut on the OTT platform Ayushman Saxena. The series consists of a total of eight episodes. The series has received many positive criticisms for its modern twist in the storyline.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Rasbhari’ The series’ first episode, titled Mrs ‘Ravan Ka Maayka’, starts with an English Teacher, Shanu (Swara Bhaskar), moving to Meerut with her husband. Shanu is a woman who is confident in her body and beauty.
Her move into this small town had caused quite a lot of rumors to fly around, one of them being about her being a ‘Husband Snatcher’. Among her students, Nand (Ayushman Saxena) is the one that leads his friends to pursue Shanu. But the series takes a different turn when Shane’s alter ego, Rasbhari (Swara Bhaskar), is introduced in the series. The series continues with not only the students but also their fathers lusting over Shanu. But the question that remains till the end of the series is who was the one behind Shane’s sexual awakening, was it Shanu herself or Rasbhari?
