J.P. Dutta, director of Border movie, brings another war movie Paltan with numerous actors and actresses.
After the success of Border and LOC, J.P. Dutta is back with another war-related movie, ‘Paltan’ to complete his trilogy of war films. Ditching his Indo-Pak theme, this time, he went ahead with the Indo-China war of 1967 along the Sikkim border. Paltan stars Jackie Shroff, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Harshvardhan Rane, Gurmeet Choudhary, Esha Gupta, Sonal Chauhan, and Deepika Kakkar, among others.

The Storyline of The Movie ‘Paltan’ In 1967, when Chinese troops attempted to encroach the Indian territory through the regions of Nathu La and Cho La, the Indian army defeated them. ‘Paltan’ is a story of an Indian platoon that was deployed on the Sikkim border near China.
In the next few days, it was observed by one soldier from the platoon who understood Chinese that China was trying to give birth to a wave of fear in Indian soldiers by playing threats on loudspeakers near the border. In an effort to retaliate, Indian troops did the same, which led to stone clashes between the two armies.
Deciphering the message behind these small clashes, the Indian army went into alert mode and started building fences at the border area to prevent any catastrophes. However, the Chinese army destroyed these fences and started firing when Indian soldiers began to build the border again.
As a result, a series of heavy firing began on both sides of the border, but Indian troops faced trouble from the Chinese artillery. They were asked to hold their positions and continue till the Indian artillery arrived; the delay in the arrival of support led to many casualties.
Nonetheless, Indian soldiers retaliated fearlessly. On the arrival of support in the form of artillery, Indian troops began firing fiercely, which led to heavy Chinese casualties. They destroyed many Chinese bunkers with precision levying heavy man and material damage, hence taking India to the path of victory.
