Aashram is a Hindi language procedural drama and political thriller that streams on MX Player. Considered to be one of the best Hindi Web Series , it stars Bobby Deol as the main lead, it is based on fraud Dharma gurus and how they deceit people. Though the makers claim for it to be a fictional show we can’t help but notice the similarities between the storyline of the web series and the controversies surrounding the life of Ram Rahim, the head of Dera Sacha Sauda. Expected Storyline of Aashram Season 4 The storyline of season four of the superhit series, Aashram is expected to begin from where the third season ended. If we go by the teaser, it started with Nirala Baba declaring himself as a god. While getting arrested, he says he is God, hence he is above everything, even the law. Bobby Deol who plays the role of Nirala Baba was seen saying,
“Bhagwan Hum Hain. Tumhare Kaanon Se Upar Swarg Banaya Hain Humne. Bhagwan Ko Kaise Arrest Kar Sakte Ho.”
We also saw the return of Pammi, played by Aaditi Phankar, to the ashram willingly. In the trailer, Bhopa Singh (Chandan Roy Sanyal) threatened Pammi to stay away from Nirala Baba and she was seen getting ready in a bridal attire without any inclination towards who the groom is, so that angle will be explored further in the fourth season. Interestingly, Pammi is the one who dragged Nirala Baba and his aashram to the court in previous seasons after she left the aashram. Makers have created enough hype around the storyline of season 4 that it has raised expectations among the viewers and everyone is looking forward to witnessing what season four will bring to the table. All in all, we know that season four will be more exciting, thrilling, and intriguing than its previous season.

Release Date of Aashram Season 4 Since Aashram Season 3 was one of the most popular Indian web series of 2022 , it led to the announcement of the fourth season of the show. Controversies around Aashram Web Series Soon after the release of its first season, the Aashram web series and its makers were served with lawsuits by the Jodhpur court and Karni Sena. In December 2020 they filed a case against writer and director, Prakash Jha and actor Bobby Deol for hurting religious sentiments and showcasing Hinduism and aashrams in a bad light.
There were protests by Bajrang Dal as well in October 2021 on the sets of Aashram and they vandalised the shooting sets of season 3 in Bhopal, which caused delays in the filming of the third season. Bajrang Dal accused the makers to target and defame Hindus and the entire ashram system.
In response to everything that was going around the Aashram web series, Prakash Jha issued the following statement,
“They will voice their concerns, but I think about the thousand who see my project in the correct manner. It is no joke that 1.5 billion people have watched and liked it. If we say there will be no objection then it is not right.”
As a measure to resolve the issues faced by a certain section of society, makers decided to change the name of this web series from ‘Aashram’ to ‘Ek Badnaam… Aashram’.
