The Storyline of the Movie Balgandharva The movie is a biopic on the life of Balgandharva. Basically the movie showcases his struggles from when he was extremely poor to the time he turns rich and gets fame. Narayan Rajhans sings a song in public and gets the title of “Balgandharva”.
Shahu Maharaj, the king of Kolhapur state advises him to join Kirloskar Natak Mandali. Soon he gets so much love from the audience and his mother asks him to marry Laxmi. On the opening ceremony of his Sangeet Manapamaan, his infant dies.
But he goes ahead with his performance. Furthermore, problems don’t leave him and he plans to start his own company as some disputes begin. He named his company Gandharva Natak Mandali. He becomes passionate about his work and because of this attitude he starts losing most of his friends.
He blindly trusts Balasaheb Pandit who helps him to maintain the account of his company. But soon he gets bankrupt because of trusting the wrong people. Furthermore, he meets Gohar Bai and falls in love with her so he leaves his wife. Soon his career fails but after sometime he gets the lead role as Sant Eknath.
