Set in the backdrop of 1990, some unnatural events happen in a village and everybody looks for the person who is responsible.
Recently, a new Telugu movie titled ‘Virupaksha’ hit theatres and got positive reviews from critics and the audience. This supernatural horror mystery film stars the Supreme fame Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon who has appeared in various superhit movies including Vaathi , Bimbisara , and Kaduva in lead roles.
Made under the direction of Karthik Varma Dandu, this newly released movie made a huge box office collection in the South. After becoming a commercially successful movie, it was later dubbed into Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam languages and released in theatres on 5 May 2023.

The Storyline of Virupaksha Set in the haunted village called Rudravanam, this movie starts with the burning of a couple who are suspected of performing black magic in their house and for the recent mysterious deaths of several village children. While burning, Chalapathy’s wife curses the entire village that the village will destroy in the 12th year.
After a leap of 12 years, the story begins. Surya visits the village with her mother and friend. His mother used to live in this village about 15 years ago and comes back after a long time for the annual celebration of the village deity Modamamba. They reached the village at that time when the village priest declare the 8 days lockdown and impose restrictions on the exit or entry of the village.
As Surya’s mother returns to the village after a long time with his son, the villagers tell them to go back before sunset. But Surya falls in love with the daughter of Rudravanam’s sarpanch Nandini and returns. Then, he experiences the events of the mysterious death of the villagers and tries to find out the reasons behind all the incidents. What will Surya do to solve the mystery? Will he be able to save the villagers? Forms the rest of the story.
