The Storyline of the Movie Ramayana: The Epic Anime As the story begins, Dashratha and his three wives are the rulers of the Kosala empire, Ayodhya. The king and queen conduct a special ritual for children. The four sons are Rama, Bharata, Lakshman, and Shatrugan Rama has a good impression, so Vishvamitra asks Dashratha to send him to kill a dangerous demon Tadka. After this, Vishvamitra takes Rama and Lakshman to King Janak’s swayamvara, where he finds a genuine man for his daughter Sita.
And with his muscular power, he lifts lord Shiva’s bow to win the competition and finally marries Maa Sita. Meanwhile, the other three siblings marry Sita Maa’s other sisters. After all this, Dashratha plans to make Rama his successor as he is the eldest son. But soon, Manthara tells Kaikeyi that if Rama becomes the successor, then all the other queens will get more importance. This makes her question Dashratha and tells him to give the position to Bharata.
And also sent Rama to fourteen years of exile. With teary eyes, Dashratha orders him to live without questioning anyone, and in respect of his father, he leaves. Sita Maa and Lakshman accompany him. With the hope of Rama coming back, on an unfortunate day, Dashratha dies. Bharata also goes to Rama and asks him to come back as he is not a part of his mother’s plan. But Rama denies so Bharata takes his sandals back in representation that Ayodhya will always be ruled by Rama.
When they all are in the thirteenth year of exile, Supranakha, who is Ravana’s sister, sees Rama in the jungle and tells him that she is attracted to him. Rama tells her to leave, but she threatens him about killing Sita. Lakshman gets angry and cuts her nose. This incident turns into an act of vengeance as Ravana kidnaps Sita Maa after bluffing lord Rama and Lakshman. On the way to find his wife, Rama sees Jatayu, who’s living his last minutes. He informs that Ravana took Sita maa.
