Miruthan 2 Release Date As of now, there is no official release date for the popular Kollywood zombie Miruthan 2 movie. Furthermore, the Miruthan 2 release date is expected in 2023, so fans can only wait for the official statement to be released by the makers of the movie.
Miruthan Plot Let’s first talk about the first Kollywood zombie movie, Miruthan. The plot centers around a young man who dreams of an easy life and a no-risk job so as to take care of his adorable sister, Vidhya, portrayed by Anikha Surendran. Despite qualifying for the army, Karthik, portrayed by Jayam Ravi, chooses to become a traffic cop in Ooty. Karthik also one-sidedly loves a cardiologist, Renuka, played by Lakshmi Menon, who is soon to marry an NRI, Naman.
The peaceful town soon finds itself engulfed in a virus that turns humans into bloodthirsty zombies. When Karthik hears this news, he realizes that his sister, Vidhya, is missing, and he starts searching for her when zombies attack him. The next morning, he receives a phone call demanding that Karthik meet the kidnapper at a certain place if he wants to see his sister alive and well.
Later, it is revealed that Vidhya was abducted by Renuka’s father, Minister Gurumoorthy, portrayed by R.N.R. Manohar, who wanted vengeance. Renuka asks Karthis to save the doctors who are locked in a house trapped with zombies and find a vaccine to cure the zombies.
Furthermore, it is also revealed at that moment that the zombies are allergic to water, which gives the protagonist a brilliant idea that is explored in later sequences of the movie. There is an amazing fight sequence and elements of horror and suspense in the Miruthan movie.
At the end of the movie, Dharan, who is a doctor, gets infected by the virus and bites Vidhya. To everyone’s surprise, Vidhya doesn’t turn into a zombie and becomes the key to making an antidote.
