The Storyline of the Movie Satyaprem Ki Katha The movie begins with an unemployed boy named Satyaprem alias Sattu, who lives in Ahmedabad. After failing in the finals of LLB, he spends most of the time listening to the taunts of his family. Sattu wants to get married as soon as possible because he’s the only one remaining among all his friends. Sattu walks on a way to the street when he remembers his last meeting with a girl named Katha.
The scene shifts to one year ago when Sattu meets Katha at a function and falls in love with her at first sight. He confesses his love to her but Katha reveals that she is in a relationship with a boy named Tapan. Sattu doesn’t lose hope and asks her whether she is serious or not about her relationship. Additionally, he tells her that he will wait to spend his whole life with her.
Meanwhile, Katha’s boyfriend arrives and takes her in his car. Sattu feels very bad seeing them both together.
At the present time, no one is interested in marrying Sattu, and not even his family is putting effort to find a girl for him. Sattu’s father is his only friend with whom he shares all his secrets. As his father always knows all the happenings of the colony, he tells Sattu about the break up of Katha. This news makes Sattu run towards the function which Katha performs every year.
When he is unable to find Katha, he asks her father. His father reveals that she is not well and is resting at home. Sattu rushes to her home to confess his love. He is excited but nervous at the same time. Will Katha accept his proposal or will he have to struggle hard to convince her?
