The premise of Gadar 2 movie, continues the story of its prequel six months after Tara Singh (portrayed by Sunny Deol) returns to India with his wife Sakeena (played by Amisha Patel) and reunites with their son Jeete (played by Utkarsh Sharma).
Fast forward to 1971, when destiny takes an unexpected turn when Tara Singh is called upon by Lt. Colonel Devendra Rawat for a mission at the Indo-Pak border. As Tara Singh ventures to the borders, he is met with his nemesis, General Hamid Iqbal, who harbors a vendetta against him for the loss of his soldiers in 1954. Moreover, Iqbal orders an explosion at the border that results in many soldiers getting captured.
Later, Jeete, who returns home, finds Sakeena in shambles and learns of his father’s disappearance. Jeete then makes the decision to travel to Pakistan to rescue his father, and there he forges an alliance with Tara’s close friend Gul Khan and Kurban Khan’s daughter, Muskaan (played by Simrat Kaur).
Later, when inspecting the prison, Jeete discovers that his father was never captured. Back in India, Tara resurfaces and learns that Jeete is in danger and that communication from his end has stopped.
As the narrative of the film progresses, we are shown an intense plot with a gripping climax that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats. Moreover, the film brilliantly packs an element of romance, drama, and pulse-pounding action sequences.
