The Storyline of the Movie Baadshaho In 1973, Maharani Gitanjali is a princess in Rajasthan. Gitanjali’s character is played by Ileana D’Cruz who is known for delivering movies like Main Tera Hero , Barfi , and Pagalpanti , and who took the internet by storm and shared a sweet post announcing her pregnancy . Anyway, it was compulsory to hand over the land to the government, but her ancestors didn’t do that. After two years, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi declares an emergency in the country. Sanjeev, a political leader, plans to take revenge against Gitanjali as earlier she insulted him. Sanjeev orders an army colonel, Rudra to imprison the princess and take over all her gold. Rudra follows his order.
Rudra asks two of his lieutenants, Major Seher and Captain Somesh to transfer all the gold to Delhi into the government’s safe. He gives them a custom-made truck. Meanwhile, Sanjana (played by Esha Gupta who also appeared in Commando 2: The Black Money Trail , and Paltan ), Gitanjali’s trusted woman is sent by the princess to eavesdrop on their plan so that they can also plan something against them.
Bhawani Singh and Sanjana are asked to bring the gold back once Gitanjali is out of jail. The character of Bhawani Singh is played by Ajay Devgn who is also seen in big hits like Omkara , Bhuj: The Pride of India , Runway 34 , Golmaal 3 , Golmaal Again , Golmaal Returns and Golmaal: Fun Unlimited . Later, the princess tells Bhawani Singh that she wants gold back as she has to help the villagers. The loyal Bhawani Singh promises his love interest that she will bring the gold back. Bhawani Singh, Daliya, Guruji and Sanjana follow the truck.
Soon they kick Rudra and Somesh out of the truck and follow the plans. But before Bhawani gives the princess gold back, he realizes that she used him for her happiness only. So they all plan to distribute the gold to poor people. At the end of the movie, Geetanjali is shown walking in the desert alone with a very low chance of survival while her team escapes.
