Bachna Ae Haseeno – The Storyline There are four different plots in the movie with four other female characters.
1996- Switzerland
On his trip to Switzerland with friends, Raj runs into Maahi, just like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge , but with a twist. There, they spend some quality time together, and Maahi falls in love with Raj. However, Raj has no intention to carry his relationship with Maahi forward and is there only for some fun time. This breaks Maahi’s heart and she leaves without confronting him.
2002- Mumbai
6 years later, Raj is now in a live-in relationship with his neighbor Radhika. However, soon he receives an offer from a company in Sydney and assumes that Radhika is strong enough to handle a breakup. Whereas Radhika is planning to sacrifice her career for him and to marry him. Raj leaves the country without any closure, and Radhika is left behind, all shattered.
2007 Sydney
Five years later, Raj is living a successful life in Australia. There he meets Gayatri, who is a business student during the day, and at night, she drives a taxi. Soon he starts to fall for her and develops strong feelings for her. He proposes to Radhika, but she denies his proposal saying that she is happy with her life and doesn’t believe in marriage and commitments.
This leaves a deep cut on Raj, and he realizes how he treated those women in the past and decides to ask for an apology for all of them.
