Though this movie was first set to release on 11th November, it was rescheduled due to unknown reasons and it is originally released on 25th November 2022. It has already gained a 10/10 rating on IMDb.
The movie is produced under the banner of PTC Motion Pictures. Rabindra Narayan, MD, and President, of PTC Network, has talked about the movie by saying:
“Fortunately, PTC does not have the pressure of box office compulsions of having big names and formulas to draw a crowd. We believe in the story is the most important aspect of any film project. For us, it was important that the story is deep-rooted in the ethos of Punjab with a focus on the contribution of unsung heroes in the Indian Freedom Struggle. It’s a film with soul and hopefully, Punjabis would appreciate the way the subject has been presented.”
Yami posted a heart-touching post on Instagram to praise his father’s work.

Storyline of the Punjabi Movie “Baghi Di Dhee” The movie represents the struggle of “The Ghadar movement”, the unforgettable saga of courage, valor, and determination of Indian freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom from clutches of British colonial slavery. It depicts the innate love for the country that Indians give as a legacy to their successor. Baghi Di Dhee means “Daughter of a Rebellion’.
The movie is the story of a little girl who had to endure pain and grief at the age of 14, whose father was called a “Gadhar” by the British government for participating in the freedom struggle. The story was written by one of the renowned Punjabi writers Giani Gurmukh Singh Musafir and Mukesh Gautam presented this story on the large screen. The movie is all about the extraordinary bravery, fearlessness, and determination of our nation’s warriors who sacrificed their lives and families to escape British slavery.
