A young girl refusing to have an arranged marriage runs away from her home in search of true love like the one she had read about in the book ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’.
Hindi Movie ‘ Bareilly Ki Barfi ‘ has grabbed the attention of many youngsters, its plot being one of the many reasons for its success. Based on Nicolas Barreau’s novel, The Ingredients of Love, the movie has managed an IMDb rating of 7.5, with Kriti Sanon recently seen in Bhediya , Ayushmann Khurrana appeared in An Action Hero , and Rajkumar Rao starring in it.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’
Not wanting to have an arranged marriage, Bittu Mishra (Kriti Sanon) runs away from her home. While waiting for her train, Bittu reads a Book named ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ and finds that the character Barfi in the book is quite similar to her. Bittu is happy because someone is willing to love a person like Barfi. After finishing the book, she decides to find the author of it.
Bittu’s search leads her to Chirag Dubey (Ayushmann Khurrana), a local printing press owner. He informs Bittu that the author Pritam Virodhi is not in Bareilly, hiding that he is the book author who had used his friend’s name as an alias. Chirag wanted to see if Bittu was like Barfi, his ex-girlfriend who had left him to marry someone else.
Bittu continued to send letters to the author through Chirag, and Chirag kept replying to her secretly. The film then continues with the entry of the real Pritam Virodhi (Rajkummar Rao), and Chirag wants to create a negative image of Virodhi in Bittu’s and her parent’s minds. The movie ends with Chirag realizing his love for Bittu and wanting to win her back.
