Bhool Bhulaiyaa- The Storyline Badri’s ancestral palace in Rajasthan is said to be haunted by the ghost of Manjulika, a classical dancer from Bengal. Siddharth Narayan Chaturvedi and his archeologist wife Avni Chaturvedi return to their village from the US to stay in their ancestral palace. Siddharth’s childhood love interest Radha, Badri’s adopted daughter, feels heartbroken seeing them together.
Raja Vibhuti Narayan, Siddharth’s ancestor, used to live in the palace where Siddharth was staying. According to legend, he had developed an infatuation for Manjulika, who was an exceptional dancer and a beautiful girl from Bengal. However, she was in love with Shashidhar, another dancer, and used to meet him recently.
On the night of Durgashtami, the king got to know of their love and their plan to escape, he invited them to perform a dance in the court for the last time.
Shashidhar bowed in the end, that is when the king beheaded him. He even imprisoned Manjulika in her room. Manjulika hanged herself on the day of the king’s marriage. What happens next makes this movie a must-watch.
