One tale of sacrifice and religion is depicted through the animated movie “Chaar Sahibzaade: The Rise of Banda Bahadur” which is made in the Punjabi language to introduce the world to one of the main heroes of Sikhism Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Ji. This movie is the second installment of the franchise Chaar Sahibzaade , which already have one movie with the same name. He fought against Mughals or injustice and established the first Khalsa Raj in the state of Punjab. The movie is directed by Harry Baweja and written by Harry Baweja, Jyoti Deshpande, and Pathik Vats.
Storyline of the Punjabi Movie “Chaar Sahibzaade: The Rise of Banda Bahadur” The movie “Chaar sahibzaade 2: The Rise of Banda Singh Bahadur” talks about the fight of Khalsa against extremist Mughals who were forcing conversion on Hindus and other communities living in India. Once the Battle of Muktsar was over, Guru Gobind Singh Ji decided to settle in Nanded, and he met Madho Das who later became Banda Singh Bahadur.
After Amritpaan, Banda Singh Bahadur became Sikh, then Guru Ji sent him to Khanda with a few other Sikhs namely Baj Singh, Binod Singh, Ram Singh, Daya Singh, Kahan Singh, and 20 more. He went to fight against the Mughal tyranny in Punjab. Guru Ji gave him the order (Hukamnama) so that he can make other Sikhs join the army.
Banda Singh Bahadur then stayed at Bharatpur for a while and helped the villagers to get rid of the local robbers. Then, he participated in many battles such as the Battle of Sonipat, the Battle of Ambala, and Kaithal, and conquered them all. Later, in the Battle of Samana Banda Singh Nanadur achieved a glorious victory. He made some land reforms to end the zamindari system and gave property rights to plowers of the land.
The next battle that Banda Singh Bahadur fought was at Malerkotla, Ghuram, Kesar, Shahabad, Ambala, Mustafabad, Nahan, and Kapuri and he won them all. He then fought the Battle of Rahon (1710) and conquered Rahon. He also takes combated the Battle of Sadhaura and killed faujdar Osman Khan of Sadhaura.
Then, the Battle of Chappar Chiri took place where the Sikh army defeated the Mughals and the Sikh General Fateh Singh decapitated Wazir Khan. The army of Sikhs also beheaded Diwan Suchananda, resulting in the establishment of the first Khalsa Raj in the land of Punjab.
