Chandramukhi 2 Release Date Kangana Ranaut surprised her fans with the announcement of her new movies lined up for release this year. One such movie is Chandramukhi 2 which is slated to release on Ganesh Chaturthi, which falls on September 19 this year.
Raghava Lawrence, who’ll be playing the lead role alongside Kangana in the film, shared the news on the microblogging platform Twitter with the poster of the movie. Chandramukhi 2 Digital Rights Chandramukhi 2 movie digital rights have been acquired by the OTT giant Netflix. Netflix India took to Instagram to announce that the movie would be available to stream in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam, post its theatrical release.

Chandramukhi 2 Plot Veteran director P. Vasu, who also directed the prequel Chandranmukhi that opened the doors of horror comedy in Tamil cinema, stated in an interview that the plot of the sequel will revolve around the backstory of Vettaiyan and Chandramukhi.
Raghav Lawrence will be essaying the role of Vettaiyan, and alongside him will be Kangana Ranaut as Chandramukhi.

Chandramukhi (2005) Plot Rajinikanth starrer Chandramukhi was loosely based on the 1993 Malayalam movie Manichitrathazu. The blockbuster film hit screens in 2005 and served as a game changer for the megastar to prove his mettle. Moreover, the film has an IMDb rating of 7.2/10 and was well-received by the audience and critics.
In addition to that, Chandramukhi cast features Rajinikanth, the Thalaiver, who is a megastar with a career spanning over four decades. Furthermore, the actor has done hit movies like 2.0, Sivaji: The Boss , and Kabali. Alongside him is the insanely talented Jyothika, who has done films like Jackpot, Raatchasi, and Ponmagal Vandhal.
The plot revolves around the hauntings that take place in a creepy mansion. Senthilnathan comes back to visit his family and announces that he has married a woman named Ganga. This upsets his family and his childhood sweetheart, Priya.
Moreover, Senthil’s foster brother, Saravanan, who is a psychiatrist, comes to meet the two on his vacation and learns that Senthil has bought the Vettaiyanpurum mansion despite the warnings of the local village residents.
The family visits their ancestral temple, where the priest narrates the story of a vengeful spirit, Chandramukhi, that is trapped in the mansion’s southwest room, guarded by a king cobra.
Ganga doesn’t believe this story and thinks it is fabricated to hide the mansion’s treasures from the thieves. She asks the gardener’s granddaughter, Durga, for the duplicate key to the room. Furthermore, After opening the door, strange things start to happen, which embeds fear in the family, following which Senthil asks Saravanan to solve the case.
As the narrative of the film progresses, the story unveils the mystery of Chandramukhi and her revenge.
Speaking about the performances, Rajinikanth does a marvelous job with his portrayal of Saravanan, who becomes the heart and soul of the movie, and Jyothika hits it out of the park with her portrayal of Ganga and keeps the audience enthralled. Furthermore, the supporting cast serves its purpose well, and there is no wasted minute in the film helmed by P. Vasu.
