After Aaradhya Bachchan filed a case in Delhi High Court against some YouTube channels, the court drafted an order against the nine entities.
Star kids have always had the attention of the media. Among all the star kids, Aaradhya Bachchan is one of the youngest of them all.
Aaradhya is the daughter of Bollywood’s most adored couple, Abhishek Bachchan (recently seen in Bholaa ) and one of the most searched Bollywood actresses of 2022 – Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , and the granddaughter of legendary actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Aaradhya is in the headlines for reaching out to the high court against some YouTube channels for spreading false news regarding her health and personal life. As per the reports, the case has been filed against nine YouTube channels to do-list and deactivate the videos.
A single judge of Justice C Hari Shankar looked into the complaint filed by the minor. “Defendants 1-9 are restrained forthwith from disseminating or further transmitting the videos relating to URLs enlisted in para 25-26 of the application,” the court ordered.
The court further restrained the publication of any form of content related to Aaradhya Bachchan’s physical condition. “Defendants 1-9 are completely restrained from sharing any content on any public platform across the net relating to the state of health or physical condition of the plaintiff,” the court asserted.
Justice Shankar further added that circulating such misleading pieces of information about a child during their tender years reflects the defendant’s morbid and perverted mindset.
Senior advocate Dayan Krishnan presented the case on behalf of the Bachchans. He argued that despite the plaintiff’s healthy condition, false rumors keep circulating in the media to an extreme extent.
“This is not a defamation issue here…there is misleading information that is defamatory, and then there is misleading information that says that someone is dead. YouTube does not run for charity; it is a profit-making platform. If you are making money out of what you are doing, you have a social responsibility”, Justice Shankar further added.
