Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki box office collection on day 1 is not extraordinary like his previous ventures, Pathaan and Jawan.
The highly anticipated Shahrukh Khan’s movie Dunki is running in theatres. After a long time wait, the audience gets the chance to adore the King Khan of Bollywood three times a year. At the beginning of 2023, SRK graced the silver screen with the action thriller Pathaan. Following this, another action thriller titled Jawan hit the theatre in September and now King of Romance is back with his comedy-drama film, Dunki.
Both the previous movies of SRK became successful in winning hearts and proved to be record-breaking; Pathan and Jawan ruled the box office
and made a collection of 57 crores and 75 crores on Day 1 respectively. After seeing this jaw-dropping success rate, makers expected a lot from Dunki but it failed to surpass both the movies and grossed less than 30 crores on the opening day.

Pathaan Vs Jawan Vs Dunki Box Office Collection Day 1
Made under the direction of Sidharth Anand, Shahrukh Khan’s movie Pathaan was released in January 2023 and made a collection of about 57 crores on the first day. The magnum opus was dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and got an overwhelming response from the South Indian audience. With the Hindi version, the movie grossed about 55 crores, and the Tamil and Telugu versions fetched 50 lakhs and 1.5 crores respectively. Overall, the movie crossed the 1000-crore club and set new box office records.
Produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma, Jawan went on the floor at the beginning of September and minted 75 crores on Day 1 in India. This megahit film was also dubbed in Tamil and Telugu and earned 5.5 crores and 4 crores respectively. Meanwhile, the Hindi version grossed 65.5 crores. This masterpiece was made with a budget of 300 crores and earned over 1000 crores.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani who completed 20 years in the film industry on 19 December 2023, Dunki was just released yesterday. According to the Sacnilk Entertainment report, Dunki’s advance booking collection grossed over 15 crores and it became successful in earning between 27-28 crores in India on the first day which is too less than Pathaan and Jawan Day 1 collection.
