Get the show on the road! Know what are the critics and audience about the movie Farhana.Rating 03/05
Nelson Venkatesan is a popular director for making ironic movies. The movie includes a famous actor Aishwarya Rajesh and this is her fourth movie of the year, she was last seen in Theera Kaadhal . The story is a tough nut to crack and will keep you engaged. The actress was criticized for her complexion, but are these things a matter of concern in the 21st century?
The story revolves around a Muslim woman who starts working in an office and soon finds herself in a kind of trap. She wants to pursue someone but is too scared to take the next step. Will she be able to do it? Moving on to the review of the movie.

Farhana Movie Review
P.S.: The review contains some spoilers. But it is safe to read if you haven’t watched the movie yet. So, the story is about a woman, Farhana, who is a reverent Muslim who lives with his father and husband, Kareem. Kareem doesn’t make much money, so the girl is always in need of money because of her infant’s serious condition.
In the arduous situation, Farhana gets permission to work in an office. She happily starts working there but finds herself in a trap when she gets transferred to a different team. On a daily basis, she starts encountering sexually driven people, but her life gets upside down when she meets that one individual.
And now everything is in trouble as she is going against the company’s policy and kinda breaking her family’s trust. Nelson Venkatesan has written an incredible woman character and is now getting adored by his fans as now we have someone in the film industry who has written a girl’s character by showcasing each and everything neatly.
Farhana has a straightforward script with a pinch of ambiguity. The cast has done stunning acting, and that’s why the movie is in the limelight. Venkatesan also introduced us to such films as Oru Naal Koothu and Monster. And now, with Farhana, he is winning the hearts of people. Apart from the cast, what makes the movie breathtaking are the small scenes that are emotional and hearty. The movie lived up to the hype.
This is not just a movie about empowerment but also gives a moral lesson. We say that women are equal in society, but the movie shows a harsh truth. Farhana always lived encircled between the four walls; she never used a phone, she didn’t even know who Mia Khalifa is, and was never permitted to dance in her friends’ marriage, but her fortune changed everything.
Well, of course, there are some drawbacks to the movie. Aside from these things, what I didn’t like is her chasing the stranger despite her marriage. For some people it is okay and as human beings, we are free to do whatever we want but the writer could’ve done something else as some scenes were predictable. Last but not least, we should not barge any religious opinion in this matter as some people are seen comparing this movie with some movies that wanted to explicate different ideas.

What Other Critics Want To Say About Movie
Times of India ’s critic said “The cinematographer skillfully imparts thrills, immersing the audience in Farhana’s world. The character of Jithan Ramesh, who portrays Aishwarya Rajesh’s husband, is well-crafted as a progressive Muslim man with his own insecurities, and Ramesh delivers a commendable performance. Aishwarya Dutta, seen primarily in the first half, impresses with her noteworthy portrayal.”
India Today said, “Where the film falters is when Selvaraghavan’s Dhayalan and Aishwarya’s Farhana converse over the phone. Some of the dialogues invoke unintentional laughter. Also, the climax seems rushed and ends conveniently. Farhana is a film that succeeds for the most part except for minor shortcomings.”
