One such movie is “Galwakdi” starring Tarsem Jassar and Wamiqa Gabbi. This romantic comedy serves as an unusual love story which is more of a hate story that takes a sudden turn. We have witnessed such ideas in various Bollywood movies before but this one stands out as characters and their representation is way funnier yet realistic. The movie is Directed by Sharan Art and written by Randeep Chahal. And, all the screenplay and dialogues are given by Jagdeep Singh Warring.
Story of the Punjabi Movie “Galwakdi” The movie begins with a library owner in Birmingham named Jagteshwar Singh played by Tarsem Jassar. He is the strictest human alive who has Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for cleanliness and order. He wants even the minor things to be perfect, clean, and germ-free. He lives by his rule and principles. Even his clock is on-point and all the family members have to follow his time and align their activities respectively. But, behind his back, they all are fed up and looking for a way to get rid of his annoying obsession with discipline.
Then, comes Amber (Wamiqa Gabbi) who is Rebellious, loud, carefree, and impulsive, she has chastised her own mother as well as relatives for being the girl of will and not disciplined. She leaves the house in anger and tries to do something noticeable to prove her mother wrong. But fate has something else for her and thus she lands in the Jagteshwar’s home. And, his life takes a 360-degree turn.
They both are too different and alien for each other but they eventually come to good terms as time passes. He then decides to take some time to be carefree and appreciate life. Whereas, Amber realizes that it’s high time to control her actions and stop acting like a brat. They help each other discover each other’s shortcomings and help to become a better person. All in all, the film suggests you accept humans as they are.
