The spine-chilling short film The Haunting is making headlines for all the right reasons. The short film is available on Amazon MiniTV to stream for free. The movie has an amazing cast, including two former Miss India beauties, Gul Panag and Eric Fernandes .
The actresses opened up about their roles and what made them sign the deal. Gul Panag can be seen in the role of a psychiatrist, while Erica Fernandes plays the character of, Moushmi, a disturbed woman who claims to be haunted by a demon since her sister’s death.
The movie is written and directed by Tanveer Bookwala and he has managed to bring out each character on screen. The movie is said to be inspired by real life events, and the actors definitely did a good job of making us connect with and believe in the story somehow.
Gul Panag revealed that she did not even read the script and signed the movie because that is how much she trusts Tanveer and his storytelling skills. She said “In fact, I said yes to the film before he even sent me the script. Thereafter I still said yes without reading the script because I have a lot of faith in Tanveer. He is very special to me.”
Speaking of The Haunting, she added that the Indian industry has not yet fully explored the genre of horror-thrillers like the rest of the entertainment industries around the globe.The Family Man , zwigato , and Paatal Lok . Her character teams up with the cops to find the criminal behind the murders which suspects Moushmi. Is Moushmi’s story about the demon true or is she trying to trap the cops in her mastermind plan?
