To execute the world’s biggest Diamond heist, a man forms a group of losers who participate in the world’s biggest dance competition, the World Dance Championship.
The movie ‘Happy New Year’ is an Indian Hindi-language action-comedy film released in India on 24 October 2014 and in Dubai on 23 October 2014. It was Directed by Farah Khan and Produced by Gauri Khan. The film was made on a budget of ₹150 Crore and has collected ₹408 Crore. ‘Happy New Year’s was the second-highest-grossing Hindi film of 2014 and the 26th-highest-grossing Indian film of all time.

The Storyline of the Movie ‘Happy New Year’ The movie starts with the introduction of Chandramohan ‘Charlie’ played by Shah Rukh Khan, aka king Khan who is going to appear in Pathaan , a street fighter who wishes to take revenge upon the famous Charan Grover (Abhishek Bachchan) for his father. Charlie’s father was accused of stealing diamonds in the past that Charan himself had stolen.
Charlie plans to steal the diamonds and frame Charan just like he had done to Charlie’s Father. But to steal the diamonds, he needed a team. So, Charlie approaches his father’s best friend, Tammy (Boman Irani), who is a safecracker. After getting Tammy on board with his plan, he smoothly forms a team of five: Tammy, Jag (Sonu Sood), Rohan (Vivaan Shah), Nandu (Abhishek Bachchan), and himself.
When Charlie finally explains his plan to the others, everyone accepts their role in the theft, except for one small problem. To get close to the Vault where the diamond was kept, they had to participate in World Dance Championship. When everyone disagrees with participating because none of them was a dancer in the first place, Charlie convinces them and hires a dance instructor, Mohini (Deepika Padukone ), to teach them.
With everything set in place, all the team now has to do is get selected for the championship and steal the diamond.
