She

Imtiaz Ali, who has made some highly regarded films such as Jab We Met, Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail, and Highway, has created this web series. The basic premise of the ‘She’ web series revolves around a poor female constable named Bhumika, who is inducted into the Anti-Narcotics Group to catch a drug lord. She becomes a prostitute in Mumbai City to complete her mission.

Meanwhile, at home, Bhumika has to fight off her alcohol-abusing husband and work on finalizing her divorce with him. Her mother is suffering from an illness, and her younger sister studies in college. So, she has responsibilities, for both of them, and she is the only earning person in her family.

We’re hoping for a third season of the show later this year, even though there are currently two on Netflix.

Lust Stories

Lust Stories is a Hindi-language anthology movie directed by some fine directors of India, including Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. It consists of four short films based on the concept of the anthology film Bombay Talkies released in 2013. From strained marriages to sexual hiccups, four stories from the perspective of an Indian woman shed light on the plight of modern relationships.

Made under the production of RSVP Movies and Flying Unicorn Entertainment, this movie stars Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Neha Dhupia, Radhika Apte, Kiara Advani, Akash Thosar, and Uri: The Surgical Strike fame Vicky Kaushal.

One of the top Desi web series, Aashram is created by Prash Jha. It is a crime drama series that stars Anupria Goenka, Vikram Kochhar, Bobby Deol, Aaditi Pohankar, Darshan Kumaar, Chandan Roy, Sanya, Tushar Pandey, Adhyayan Suman, and Tridha Choudhury.

This web series centers around a Baba played by the super-talented actor Bobby Deol who subjugates the people of Kashipur and becomes a deity. He uses his words to fascinate people and uses lies to hypnotize them.

After the great success of Aashram Season 1 and Season 2, Season 3 was released in June 2022 on MX Player. The basic premise of this season revolves around Pammi Pahelwan who is physically abused by Nirala Baba. She stands against him and unveils his real face in front of everyone.
