A warrior who is the union of Lord Shiva and Vishnu takes birth to end the terror of Mahishashuri.
In our Indian cinema, there are several mythological animated films such as Hanuman , Krishna Aur Kans , Ramayan: The Legend of Prince Rama , and The Legend of Hanuman that are all based on the life story of divine powers or gods. Similarly, an animated film titled Swami Ayyappan portrays the story of a warrior, who is the union form of Lord Shiva and Vishnu.
This popular Toonz animation was released on 29 October 2012 in various languages including Malayalam, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The promo of this movie was so fabulous and it won the International award for ‘Best Animated Promo’ in the category of ‘Best Film- Commissioned’.
The Storyline of the Movie Swami Ayyappan The movie begins in a Kingdom named Pandalam , where a royal family prays to God for a baby. At the same time, the terror of Mahishasura and his wife Mahishasuri spreads like wildfire and all deities also seem to be in trouble with that. In order to end the terror, Maa Durga appears and kills Mahishasura but the terror remains continued by the demoness Mahishashuri. Then, Lord Shiva and Vishnu, in the form of Mohini, create a baby boy from their union.
Fortunately, the childless king finds that baby boy in the woods. He investigates the baby but he gets no detail about his parents. Then, on the advice of an ascetic, he decides to raise him as his own child. The child is named Manikandan and his childhood is shown performing miracles in the Gurukul.
Will Manikandan be able to know the purpose of his birth and finish the terror of demoness Mahishashuri? The rest of the movie gives an answer to this question.
