In the 5th episode of Koffee with Karan in Season 7, the host invited Aamir khan and Kareena Kapoor, the duo of “Lal Singh Chaddha .” Karan Johar asked them about their recent movies and interesting questions about their lives.
Kareena’s views on Aamir Khan: Kareena said that Aamir took “100-200 days” to shoot a film while Akshay Kumar finished one in just 30. She claimed that is the only quality of Aamir that annoys her. She also stated that he might be nicer to the press, they prefer her more. Kareena gave a minus to Aamir for his fashion sense.
Aamir being Savage : Aamir was more savage than ever in his three decades in the film industry; he even told Karan Johar that the only thing he likes about Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is Poo’s character. He also told Karan “Jab bhi aap show karte ho, koi na koi rota hi hai, kisi na kisi ki beizzati hoti hai.
Aamir worried about Box Office: When Karan Johar questioned whether he was afraid that people would see his new movie or not, Aamir replied that he was.
How South Indian Movies are working: Karan told Aamir how South Indian movies like RRR and KGF 2 work in Bollywood. Aamir explained that maybe this is because his earlier films like Taare Zameen Par, Lagaan, and Dil Chahta hai emotionally impacted viewers and how this led to their success.
Lal Singh Chaddha: Speaking about their most recent film, the director originally intended for someone who was approximately 25 years old to play Rupa instead of Kareena. As soon as the casting director played them the commercials video. Kareena was also there in that video; Kareena told Karan that she had never given any screening test for any role in her past movies. So, for this movie Saif Ali Khan motivated her to give a screen test, and she happily did the test. However, Aamir and the team selected her without watching the video because they were already impressed when she rehearsed the lines.
Has Kareena changed?: Karan Johar taunted how Kareena has changed so much that she never calls him now and asks for any gossip.
Is Aamir boring?: Aamir explains why he doesn’t like parties. He told Karan that parties have loud music, hurting his ears. Kareena added that this is how parties are supposed to be “you come, get drunk, and dance to movie songs.”
Aamir Khan’s ex-wives and Kareena’s Stepfamily: Talking about their family, Aamir explained that he has good relations with his ex-wives and visits them weekly. Kareena told Karan that she also has good relations with Sara and Ibrahim.
Aamir doesn’t know what’s going on in Bollywood: Aamir was clueless when Karan asked him about Ranveer Singh’s thrust pictures, and he even mixed up Rohit Sharma and Rohit Shetty, which shows that he doesn’t care about what is going on in Bollywood.
Kareena never watches her movies: Karan asked Kareena that if she doesn’t watch her movies, she doesn’t care about Lal Singh Chaddha’s box office. Aamir added that this time Kareena is under some pressure too. She keeps asking him about the promotions and other things about the movie.
Rapid Fire Round: During the Rapid Fire Round, Kareena responded to a few questions, and on the other hand, Aamir gave every answer nicely. Aamir ended up winning by getting the most votes from the audience.
