Storyline of London Files Season 1 Om Singh, a London Police officer, who is hurting from a family tragedy involving his son. Om’s boss, Ranjh, asks him to investigate the disappearance of media baron Amar Roy’s daughter Maya. Amar is an easy target, who is pushing hard for legislation that will crack down on immigrants.
Maya stayed fuming at her father’s hard-line politics and hypocrisy and when Maya’s heavily battered body turns up, a kidnapping case turns into murder. The evidence is heavily stacked against Amar, due to allegations of sexual harassment to incriminating CCTV footage.
According to the viewers, the slow-burning series, filled with ponderous silences and meaningful looks, turns into a far-fetched premise. And they expected that it could have been a good thriller going ahead rapidly from one twist to the other, but instead got shackled with Om’s grief, musings on parenthood, and involvement on behalf of undocumented migrants.
