Maharshi – The Storyline K. Rishi becomes the CEO of a successful US-based company and meets one of his old school friends at a party in New York. The movie then goes in flashback to 7 years ago when Rishi dreamed of working in a software company, who has tense relationships with his father. His father is a clerk in a company and is quite pressurized by moneylenders.
Rishi moves to another city to complete his graduation and there he meets Pooja Ravi. Ajay, who is the topper in entrance exams becomes jealous of Rishi after being surpassed in all exams. Because of this, the MP of the state offers Rishi some money for stepping down from being a topper, but Rishi refuses. Rishi even denies Pooja’s proposal as he believes that it will hinder his dreams and career.
He gets the campus placement in a giant US-based IT company and scores well in his final exams to be placed in it too, and soon moves to the US. although, he is shattered by the sudden demise of his father.
