The Storyline of the Movie ‘Master’. The movie shifts from 2002 to 2019, beginning with 2002. The plot is set in Nagercoil, where a teenage Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi ) witnesses his father’s rivals murdering his family. However, as the sole survivor, he becomes the real murderers’ new target. Bhavani is detained in a facility for juveniles after being falsely accused of killing his family.
He is released from the facility after a few years, and the story moves to 2019 when John Durairaj (Vijay) is a college professor. He is an alcoholic who has trouble staying clean. And when he is dismissed from the college, he is sent to a juvenile facility for three months. He learns that a gangster was using the children to cover up his crimes after spending some time with them. John starts looking up details about Bhavani’s crimes and the reasons why the kids in the juvenile facility were taking the blame for Bhavani.
