Ileana D’Cruz sheds light on postpartum depression and praises her partner, Michael Dolan for being supportive. She opens up about her marriage plans as well.
The famous model and hot Bollywood actress Ileana D’Cruz welcomed her firstborn on August 1, 2023. She named his son Koa Phoenix Dolan. She and Koa are presently living in the US with Michael Dolan, Ileana’s partner.
In a recent interview with Times of India, Ileana opened up about postpartum depression and called it REAL. She always planned to work during her pregnancy, but she opted for a break due to health complications.
The Rustom actress recalls how her mother rendered major support to her while she was carrying her child. She candidly expresses her thoughts on postpartum depression; she feels it is inevitable and no mother can be prepared for it. She remembers how she cried and missed her baby, who was actually in the next room.
She further stated “My partner asked me what was wrong and I told him, ‘I know it sounds really stupid, but my son is sleeping in the other room, and I am missing him’,” she stated.
Ileana termed her partner “Amazing” and revealed how he was always there and understood things without her telling about them.
On being questioned about marriage, she declined to provide a straightforward answer and said, “It’s nice to have a tiny bit of mystery, right?“
The Barfi actress expressed how her experience with her last relationship was unpleasant. And now, she wants to keep it private. About her last relationship, she said, “It comes from a space where previously I talked about my relationship. I didn’t like how some people spoke about it back then. I can handle things being said about me, but I am not comfortable with people talking rubbish about my partner or my family,” she added.
When it comes to Michael, Ileana finds him “absolutely lovely” and a “big support.”. She doesn’t hesitate to say, “I feel fortunate to have met him.“.
