Salaar makers have added an extra 100 crores to their total box office collection and shared fake reports.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire is running in the theatres. According to the makers, the film has entered the 500 crores club worldwide and closer to 300 crores in India. But netizens have found this BO collection fake, and the internet has flooded with #SalaarBoxOfficeScam. Netizens believe that the Salaar makers are sharing fake data to outshine Shahrukh Khan’s Dunki which was released just one day before the release of Salaar.
Reportedly, the Salaar makers are scamming by inflating the box office figures through corporate or proxy bookings. Movie freaks are finding the Housefull shows in those theatres that were closed many moons ago. Not only in morning shows but also in late-night shows, the theatres are empty but online booking apps are showing Housefull.

How Netizens are Exposing the Salaar Box Office Scam?
Netizens are sharing their experiences through videos that happened with them or their friends while booking Salaar tickets. One of the ‘X’ (formerly called Twitter) users wrote, “Yesterday My friend from Delhi buy a ticket for a 7 am housefull show through your agent In INOX cinema. Without taking a bath & breakfast, he managed to reach INOX. But the guard says it’s open at 9 am. Please resolve this issue.”
Another ‘X’ user states, “Guard says- Bhaiji, koi show nahi hai subah 9 baje se pehle, Kal bhi 3-4 GYM wale bacche dekh ke gaye the. Big scam is going on.”
A user named shared that not in morning shows but the bigger scam is going on in the late night shows. All evening shows are empty but the online booking apps are showing late-night shows Housefull suddenly. How’s that possible on a working day?
As per the sources, the director Prashanth Neel has been accused of adding an extra 100 crores to the total collection. The makers claimed to gross over 400 crores within just three days but various box office trade analyst websites like BoxOfficeIndia reported that the movie has minted only 304 crores. Therefore, the difference between official and unofficial trade figures is estimated to be around 100 crores.
