The Storyline of the Movie Panghrun The story is about the time when India gained independence from the Britishers. At that time, there were few customs that the men and women of the society followed. Some people struggled, especially women struggled, at that time, because of widow remarriage, the marriage of underage girls with older men, and many more illogical customs.
So the story is about Lakshmi, a girl who has been living her life as a widow from the age of 14 years. Don’t you think this is a very young age? She has to remarry Konkan’s respectable kirtankar Ananta aka Antu Guruji who is double her age. He is fighting to stay away from her because he is attracted to his newlywed wife, who is also struggling with his own troubles such as his desire for intimacy after her second marriage.
People loved the movie as everything is handled delicately and in the past years, there haven’t been any Marathi films that have discussed women’s sexuality. The story is very eye-catching and thanks to clever writing. The movie became a masterpiece. People loved the performance because of the great acting of the stars.
