Shah Rukh Khan returns to the big screen, and how? Breaking all the previous records and setting a new yardstick altogether for future movies to match up to. Starring Shah Rukh Khan , Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham as main leads, Pathan is the recent Bollywood blockbuster that became the highest-grosser Indian movie worldwide. Pathan is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious ‘spyverse’ project, which includes the War and Tiger Zinda Hai movies.
The Storyline of The Movie ‘Pathaan’ In 2019, India revoked article 370 from Kashmir. Hence Pakistani Army General Qadir hired Jim to seek revenge on India. The movie revolves around ‘Rakt-beej’ with Pathaan trying to protect India against any kind of influx by Jim, who runs ‘Outfit X,’ a terror group. Jim is an ex-R&AW agent who is dead, according to the Indian government. However, Jim is alive, and he is now hell-bent on seeking revenge from India for the death of his wife and unborn child.
It was revealed in the movie that Jim was an exemplary officer, but he was caught by the enemy in one such mission, and they asked for 10 crores INR from India to release Jim and his family. However, they refused by saying that they don’t negotiate with the terrorists; this aggravates Jim as, per him, he has given his entire life for the country, and in return, India betrayed him.
In the process of saving India from Jim, Pathaan meets Rubina, an ISI agent. Rubina helps Pathan get to the Rakht-beej in Moscow and ends up betraying him at the last moment. Hence, Pathaan is captured by the Russian authorities. However, when Pathaan is being taken for his punishment, Tiger comes to rescue Pathaan and succeeds.
As the movie progresses, it becomes clearer how dangerous ‘Rakht-beej’ actually is. There is a continuous fight between Pathaan and Jim for ‘Rakht-beej’. As Rubina learns of Jim’s and General Qadir’s plans of using Rakht-beej to kill millions of innocent Indians, she turns to Pathaan, lets him know of Jim’s location, and fights against Jim to protect millions of innocent Indians.
Towards the end, Jim plots an orb containing Rakht-beej in the air conditioner ducts of a flight that is about to land in Delhi. Pathaan has about fourteen seconds to get the detonator from Jim and deactivate the missile, or else there is no other option but to shoot the passenger-bound airplane in the air to prevent Rakht-beej from entering India.
As one would expect, Pathaan succeeds in deactivating the orb and saving India from Jim and his vicious plan.
