Storyline of the Movie “Piku” Piku is a quirky comedy-drama film about the relationship between a father and his daughter. Piku (played by Deepika Padukone) is a 30-year-old architect who lives with her elderly father, Bhaskor Banerjee (played by Amitabh Bachchan).
Bhaskor is a retired businessman who suffers from constipation and is obsessed with bowel movements. Despite her love for her father, Piku is often frustrated by his stubborn and demanding nature.
One day, Bhaskor announces that he wants to go to Kolkata, his hometown, to visit his ancestral home. Piku is hesitant to go as she has a lot of work and responsibilities in Delhi. However, Bhaskor is determined to go and persuades Piku to come. They hired a taxi driver named Rana Chaudhary (played by Irrfan Khan) to drive them to Kolkata.
They face several challenges and obstacles as they journey from Delhi to Kolkata. Bhaskor’s health deteriorates, and Piku and Rana must take care of him. Along the way, they encounter many eccentric characters and have humorous and heartwarming moments. Ultimately, the trip brings Piku and Bhaskor closer and helps them understand and appreciate each other more.
