A group of college students is planning revenge for the death of their friend who lost his life due to a political agenda, but the sacrifice of life is needed to accomplish the mission.
Rang De Basanti is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language drama film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and written by Rensil D’Silva. It features the most amazing cast of time, including Aamir Khan, Siddharth Narayan, Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Atul Kulkarni, and R. Madhavan.
The film tells the story of a group of young Indians who are disappointed with the state of the nation and decide to fight against corruption and injustice that happened to their friend. The film’s title, which translates to “Paint It Saffron!” itself, is symbolic. Storyline of the Movie “Rang De Basanti” The film starts with a group of foreign tourists visiting India and being shown a film about the country’s freedom struggle. One of the tourists, Sue, is who loves the country and becomes interested in learning more about India’s history. She meets a group of young Indians – DJ, Karan, Aslam, Sukhi, and Laxman – and becomes friends with them.
As Sue delves deeper into India’s history, she becomes increasingly frustrated with the corruption and injustice she sees around her. She convinces the group to help her make a film about Bhagat Singh, a freedom fighter who was hanged by the British in the 1920s.
As the group works on the film, they begin to see the parallels between Singh’s struggle and their own experiences. They become more politically active and start to challenge the corrupt officials and politicians who are exploiting the country.
As the film nears completion, tragedy strikes, and one of their pilot friends loses his life. It inspires the remaining members to take a more direct and violent approach to fight the injustice and insult of their friend’s sacrifice. They become rebels and start attacking and killing those they find to be corrupt.
The film ends with the group being captured and shot dead, but their actions have sparked a nationwide movement against corruption and injustice.
