Sam Bahadur Plot ( Expected ) The premise of Sam Bahadur movie entails the story of Sam Manekshaw; the film is a biographical drama that will unfold the key events in the life of Sam Manekshaw, whose military career spanned over four decades and five wars. The legendary army officer was widely credited for his leadership in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971 and was later appointed as the first Field Marshal of India.

About Sam Manekshaw Field Marshal Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Manekshaw, also known as Sam Bahadur, was born on April 3, 1914, in Amritsar, Punjab, to Hormizd Manekshaw and his wife Hilla. The couple had six children (four sons and two daughters), with Sam being the fifth child and third son.
Sam yearned to be a doctor like his father and asked his father to send him to London to study medicine, but his father refused on the basis that Sam was not old enough and that two of his brothers studying in London were already being supported by Hormizd.
In an act of rebellion against his father’s refusal, Sam Manekshaw applied for the Indian Military Academy and was one of the fifteen cadets to be selected through open competition. He then began his military career, which spanned four decades and won him many accolades and titles.
