Marathi Movie ‘Sher Shivaji’ is a historical action drama based on the life of Shivaji Maharaj, the Maratha King. This movie is part of an eight-movie series on the Maratha Empire, directed by Digpal Lanjekar. It stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Mukesh Rishi, Varsha Usgaonkar.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Sher Shivraj’ The film talks about the courage and bravery of Maratha King Shivaji Maharaj (Chinmay Mandlekar). When the Badi Begum Sahiba (Varsha Usgaonkar) is ecstatic after hearing about her son capturing Aurangzeb, she wishes to hold a banquet.
But her happiness does not last long when she is informed about Aurangzeb’s release. Afzal Khan (Mukesh Rishi)shares his trouble with Begum Sahiba about Shivaji Maharaja, who was continuously conquering many forts from the Mughal empire. Worried about the upturn of the Mughals, she asks Afzal to kill Shivaji Maharaja as soon as possible.
Afzal Khan kills his father and elder brother in fear of betrayal and then continues marching toward Shivaji Maharaj. The movie then ends with the assassination of Afzal Khan by Shivaji Maharaj with his tactics, bravery, and courage.
