Makers of Yodha have once again postponed the release of the movie. This time it is to avoid a clash between Shah Rukh’s much anticipated Jawan.
After watching him in Mission Majnu , all the Sidharth Malhotra fans are eagerly waiting for Yodha to hit the release, but they will have to wait a bit longer. The movie’s release date has already been changed multiple times since last year.
Initially, the movie was supposed to have a theatrical release in November 2022 but was postponed to July 7 this year. Due to some unfinished editing work, the movie got delayed once again and was slated to release on September 15.
However, considering the fact that Shah Rukh Khan ’s much anticipated Jawan has announced its release on September 7, Yodha has once again decided to postpone the release. To avoid a clash with King Khan at the box office, the makers have taken this decision.
“Shah Rukh Khan has announced Jawan for a September 7 release, and arriving a week after a Shah Rukh Khan film in today’s market is like playing with fire. Jawan is expected to be a box office tornado and will eat into the business of every film released around the world. So Karan Johar and other stakeholders of Yodha have decided to delay the film’s release,” said the sources.
Jawan is predicted to have a considerably high box office collection, similar to Pathaan and competing against such a movie is clearly a risky business.
Though the new date has not been confirmed yet, producer Karan Johar said the movie will be released this year. Disha Patani and Raashi Khanna will be seen in pivotal roles alongside Sidharth Malhotra.
Karan Johar and Sidharth Malhotra have worked together on multiple blockbusters including “Student Of The Year ”, “Hasee Toh Phasee”, and “Shershaah ”. The audience has huge expectations from the upcoming movie of the duo as it is said to be packed with high-quality action scenes.
