Taaruk Raina Early Life Taaruk Rainia was born on 29 September 1994 in an upper-middle-class family from Delhi. Hailing from Delhi, Taaruk had access to several resources that allowed him to pursue his career. Taaruk always had a knack for music and continued his love even when he moved to Australia for further studies. Taaruk Raina Career Taaruk Raina has a very interesting career graph. He has tried his hands at everything. He started by working in theatre then went on to work in movies and web series as an assistant director, music composer, actor, TV presenter, and playback singer, and he keeps adding to the list with each passing year. In 2015, Taaruk received some limelight when he uploaded a video named ‘Dry Day’ on his YouTube channel and it garnered thousands of views very quickly.
After trying his hands at various things, Taaruk got an opportunity to work with Aditya Chopta as an assistant director in 2015 for the film, Befikre . Speaking about his experience of working with Aditya Chopra as an assistant director and his first time on set, Taaruk Raina said,
“I was in theatre then went on to be an assistant director with Aditya Chopra sir for a year and a half on Befikre. That was a massive learning experience. I had never been to a film set before. I went to the set of Nashe si chad gayi on day one, a massive set, and I was like, this is how films are done? This is mad. They were the best people around, and I learnt so much from everyone.”
Soon after Befikre, Taaruk Raina auditioned for a prominent role on an upcoming Netflix web series which turned out to be a massive success and opened many new doors for Taaruk. Yes, we are talking about Mismatched. Taaruk’s performance in Mismatched was appreciated by the audience and critics alike, he also worked in Mismatched season 2 . He started getting many Bollywood offers post the success of Mismatched. However, Taaruk believes that quality matters over quantity hence he chose only those roles that excited him and added positively to his filmography.
In his short career, Taaruk Raina has been lucky enough to work with veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal in Sharmaji Namkeen . On various occasions, Taaruk has expressed his gratitude for getting a chance to work with Rishi Kapoor once in his lifetime. In a recent interview with Filmfare, he said,
“Talking to Rishi sir was like browsing through film history. He used to tell me how films were made in the 70s, 80s, and 90s and what nee developments each decade brought along. He was such a brilliant actor. We’d be talking about something before the shot and he’d just go, do the scene, and come back to the conversation as if nothing had happened.”
