Four distinctly different people go on a mission to retrieve the suitcase containing ₹25 Crores that had been stolen from a gangster.
Hindi Movie ‘Tashan stars Akshay Kumar (recently seen in Selfiee , Ram Setu ), Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Anil Kapoor (last appeared in The Night Manager ). It premiered on 25 April 2008 in the theatres and is now available for online streaming. The film was directed and written by Vijay Krishna Acharya and was also his directional debut.
‘Tashan’ is an action comedy with strong characters as its main leads. It is produced by none other than Aditya Chopra and distributed under Yash Raj Films. After its release, the film opened to mixed reviews and grossed ₹516.3 Million over its budget of ₹310 Million.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Tashan’ The film begins with the introduction of Jeetendra Kumar Makwana, a.k.a Jimmy Cliff (Saif Ali Khan ). Jimmy is a call center executive who teaches English as a side job, and one day a beautiful woman Pooja Singh (Kareena Kapoor ), comes knocking on his door, asking him to give her private tutoring.
Jimmy, who had fallen in love at first sight with Pooja, agrees to this arrangement without any hesitation but when Pooja reveals that her boss Lakhan Singh Ballebaaz a.k.a Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor ) is the one who needs to be tutored, Jimmy is dumbfounded.
When Jimmy finds out about Pooja’s debt to Bhaiyyaji, he suggests stealing Bhaiyyaji’s money and running away. But when the deed is done, do they realize that Bhaiyyaji was a gangster who was not to be messed around? Bhaiyyaji, on the other hand, hires another gangster Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar ), to catch Pooja and Jimmy.
