Directed by Jon Favreau and written by Jeff Nathanson, the story revolves around Simba (Hindi dub voice-over by Shah Rukh Khan ), a young lion prince, who flees his kingdom after the murder of his father, Mufasa. But years later, a chance encounter with Nala, a lioness, causes him to return and take back what is rightfully his.

Storyline of The Lion King: Rise of the King The plot of the movie mainly revolves around Simba, who gets fooled by his own uncle, Scar, and that leads to the death of his father, Mufasa. Simba runs away from the Pride of Lands and lives regretfully, thinking he was the cause of his father’s death his whole time. Meanwhile, Scar takes over the forest, claiming both Musafa and Simba to be dead.
But then, Simba somehow survives the hyenas and ends up getting unconscious in a desert. And here, he meets his future friends Timon (voice actor Shreyas Talpade, who was also the voice actor in the recently released Pushpa ) and Pumbaa (voiceover by Sanjay Mishra, recently seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 ). With their help, he learns to live life with no worries. After years of growing up with them, one day a lioness attacks them, and that’s when Simba comes to the rescue. Only to realize that it’s none other than his childhood best friend, Nala. He enjoys the reunion, but Nala tells him about the ruined life of the Pride of Lands with Scar as the king. Will Simba go back now and challenge Scar to take back what is rightfully his, or stay back, enjoying the worry-free and comfortable life with Pumbaa and Timon?
