Sadly we lost this gem in 2020, but his phenomenal work is with us and one of his greatest acting performances came in the 2013 movie The Lunchbox. It was directed by Ritesh Batra and produced by Anurag Kashyap.
Storyline of the Movie “The Lunchbox” The Lunchbox is a simple and plain story of an ordinary man and a housewife who is longing for love and respect and someone who can listen to her. The story begins with a small incident when Irfan Khan aka Saajan Fernandes gets the wrong lunchbox in his office, he wants to return it but found no way so he ate the food from the lunch, but he loved the food and writes a letter to the owner of that box in which is praise the food.
Nimrat Kaur alias lla heard the much-needed words and recognition for his food and that’s how the boring life of both characters gets the much-needed spice and exchange of letters, and gradually it turns into love. Now will they both meet and what turns their story takes, for that you have to watch the movie which is available on Amazon prime.
