We see the perspectives of a doctor, a rock star, a policeman, and a migrant labourer in the Punjab state, where drugs have caused far too much destruction.
The film “Udta Punjab ” is a crime drama about the state that people in Punjab were in when drugs took over the young generation.
Shobha Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Ekta Kapoor, Vikramaditya Motwane, Aman Gill, Vikas Bahl, and Madhu Mantena produced the film, which was directed by Abhishek Chaubey. Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Chaubey wrote ‘Udta Punjab’.
The film received a flood of praise for its plot, performances, screenplay, and execution upon its release on 17 June 2016. The film stars Shahid Kapoor(also appeared in Jersey , Farzi , Haider ), Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt (known for remarkable performances in Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva , Gully Boy , Gangubai Kathiawadi , RRR ) and Diljit Dosanjh.
The Storyline of the Movie ‘Udta Punjab’ The plot of the film mainly revolves around a policeman, a doctor, a rockstar, and a migrant laborer. Tommy (Shahid Kapoo r) is a rockstar who is a successful Punjabi singer and lives a luxurious life. Be that as it may, behind all the glitz, he had secrets he ensured never came into the spotlight.
Bauria, played by Alia Bhatt, was a migrant worker from Bihar who had always wanted to play nation-level hockey for the country, but with the death of her father, her dreams were crushed too, as she was moved to Punjab to work as a laborer. However, her life takes a turn for the worst when she finds a suspicious package on the farm where she works.
Preet Sahni, played by Kareena Kapoor- one of the top 10 hottest actresses/women of Bollywood Diljit Dosanjh ), who is a junior policeman. Preet and Sartaj both decide to find the root cause of Punjab’s widespread drug abuse.
